60 Seconds

There is many types of games and each and all of them has their benefits and disadvantages in some shape or form. This might be fundamental or simply how it might not fall into some people’s taste. So it is important to take a proper look at what makes up the game and what it actually is you are playing compared to what you might be wishing for or had hoped the game could be instead of what it is. This might be a harsh start to any game when writing a review of it but it’s more of a way to say that this games genre can be boring and it does a good job of making it fun.

60 Seconds is a really fun text based game with some elements of a physics based time challenge game. What I mean by that is that you have to gather a few resources and supplies for your nuclear shelter before the bomb reaches you. You peculiarly enough only have roughly 60 seconds to do this and it’s’ done by controlling the dad as he sprints around the house frantically searching for useful and helpful items as well as the remaining family members so they can survive the aftermath of the nukes. The rest of the game is focused around reading the daily report and taking the necessary actions needed to solve the many issues that pops up. This involves distributing food and water to everyone, choosing who needs to go out and scather the wildland for supplies as well as deciding whether or not to strangers and so on. There is a lot to it despite it’s repetitive nature but it’s still very fun and interesting.

You are always gonna try to get as many supplies down into the shelter as possible within the 60 seconds you are given at the start of the game. This means you will have to do a few redos depending on your skills and how good you are at getting a lot of supplies with you. This can be a little irritating or frustrating but I mostly found it to be a fair feature and I can see how it might bother others but I found it fine. The second part is the main game, It’s fun and you are more likely than not gonna have a good time playing this game. I can see how it might get boring reading the daily report and distributing supplies in the long run or how it might be the best game you’ve ever played but it suits different peoples taste the way I see it. It’s fun and I like the gameplay but it can get a little boring in the long run. I’m tempted to give it a 60 rating for obvious reasons but it does certainly deserve higher remarks so my apologies for stomping anyone over their toes with it. My honest opinion is that It’s a great game and it’s highly recommended and deserves a higher rating around 70 more rather than the given 60.
