Borderlands is an awesome game series with an interesting and fun progression system and way to explore the world. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel shows how a prequel should be put together and makes a really cool and interesting story and environment for you to explore.
I’ve always liked the gameplay that Borderlands offers and it’s many cool weapons and enemies. It’s great when you beat that tough bastard standing in your way as well as the rewards and possible new weapons and upgrades that follows as you complete the mission. What makes Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel such a good one in the series is it’s story in my opinion. The gameplay and new areas are quite awesome and I enjoyed exploring them but what I enjoyed more than anything else was coming behind the scenes of how Handsome Jack come to be. The story shows how Handsome Jack came to be the tyrant he is in Borderlands 2. It’s not necessarily that I was extremely invested because I loved the borderlands universe but I just felt that the gameplay and the way the story was told resonated well with me.
I also enjoyed the secrets spread throughout the game as well as the dlc’s. They were really fun and I had a blast playing them and having fun trying to explore the many features they offered. One of the dlc’s I found the most fun despite being a little irritating at times was the Claptastic Voyage dlc. Here you get to enter the mind of everyone’s favorite, Claptrap as you get digitized to find a secret code hidden deep within him. There is a ton of weird and fun places to go look for and have fun with both in this dlc and the rest of the game so make sure to explore and see how much you can find. I can’t exactly put my finger on what made this exact borderlands so good in my eyes but I definitely did enjoy it and can definitely recommend it.
