The Room is an awesome puzzle game. The Room is great because of it’s awesome gameplay. It’s based around having specific objects with hidden compartments and special mechanical contraptions and movements. It feels deeply rewarding every time you interact with something and when new things are unlocked or some intricate and cool mechanism begins. It’s essentially just a blast and really fun to fiddle with the puzzles you are given to try and solve them. And the way they are presented as well as the way you interact with them is just perfect. So as you can hear it’s just a really awesome and fun puzzle game right? Everything about this game is as you could wish for in my opinion. We of course have all the UI, music, graphics and everything else and they all just play together wonderfully so all you have to do is focus on the game. However, it’s a little hard to explain how awesome it is to play and interact with these puzzles yourself.
The reason why I think it’s just such a great game is because you essentially feel like you are there fiddling with the puzzle yourself. There is of course limits to this and it’s not like you are touching the puzzles with your own hands but you can interact with them like if you really were there. And to get a good experience and have the player interact with the items the intended way can’t you shake it or smash it like you might would have done in real life. So I guess what I’m trying to say is that The Room makes a great job of putting a challenge in front of you and gives the user a perfect experience as he or she tries to complete it. There isn’t much more to it and it’s just some really pretty, fun and well thought out puzzles and challenges to do.
