Dragon Ball Super

Dragon Ball Super continues the story 7 years after the original Dragon ball Z and all the dangers from then have settled down and no real threats are at hand. But this doesn’t last long as the God of Destruction Beerus is about to wake up from his long kitty nap to bring along new adventures for the bunch on earth. It’s a story about the saiyan warriors and their journey to further evolve and become stronger as they reach the super saiyan god form and how they need to save the universe from destruction.

If you’re a fan of the original series or just a fan of dragon ball in general then you might want to look into this new addition to the series. It can definitely be considered long with its 131 episodes compared to other animes but as the original series where a whopping 291 is it not unexpected. There are several arcs of varying lengths with the last one being the longest and the one you’re most likely familiar with if you’ve already heard about the series and it’s new additions to the dragon ball universe. But other than it’s length and initial story how is the series? I personally enjoyed it a bunch but it was also probably because of my love for the show and the universe. So if I step away from that then it gets a bit more difficult.

I can for sure recommend it and found all the many fight scenes awesome and enjoyed the amount of awesome battles in the show and were overall satisfied with the content given. The only thing I suppose I’m not as big a fan of is the story. The show offers tons of cool new abilities and forms from all the old and new characters but it’s all wrapped in a mediocre story. It’s not like I can think something else to take its place or have big changes I would have liked to see instead but I just wanted it to feel more impactful at times even though it revolved around big risks and consequences. But that is only a somewhat minor complaint as I really enjoyed the show. It’s a shonen show and they are all essentially made up in the same way. A bunch of lead up and then some awesome battles. If this isn’t your cup of tea then you might want to find something else but if you’re into action and some awesome fight scenes then you’re not going to find much better stuff elsewhere.
