Ubisoft has despite its controversies had many great titles over the years and this sits as one of the top contenders. I feel like Ubisoft often gets a lot of shit because they’ve made some bad games and it’s rightfully given as no one’s going to hold your hand when you make some garbage but they have also over the years made a big selection of great games which i feel like is sometimes forgotten.
Far cry 3 is an absolute masterpiece when it comes to it’s story as you get deeply immersed and pulled in by the characters and how well they are able to express their emotions and opinions. It was at least for me a really good experience playing this game and a great look at what Ubisoft can pull off when they really do get it all right. It is as most other Ubisoft games the drill of the mill open world game with a bunch of side quests, places to visit or capture and all kinds of other things to learn and do as you shape the place world you are put in. They really make a great job of making the tropical island a unique adventure as you explore it’s many sites and as you seek out all the island has to offer.
The game of course have great graphics and it’s generally just a good game but where it really shines is its story. As you and your friends go on some sky diving trip do you sadly end up being captured by some pirates and one of the best villains in a game ever, the pirate lord Vaas Montenegro. You then go on this crazy adventure to save your friends and save the island from all the baddies. The game is just awesome and so much fun to play with its great campaign and many things to do on the side. A title where Ubisoft really pulled off a great one.
