Jotun

Jotun is a really great game to pick up if you’re in the mood for some cool game design and good gameplay. I found the experience worthwhile and had a lot of fun exploring the world and facing the many challenges it brought along. You have the honour of deciding the fate of Thora the Viking in her quest for gaining access to the halls of Valhalla. To do this must you first challenge and defeat a handful of Norse gods each with different barriers to overcome and exiting rewards and abilities to add to your arsenal. The game can feel a little bothersome and long when you have to go from place to place but I didn’t find it that bad or irritating since I where more focused on exploring and enjoying it so never really had the chance. A big factor to know about the game is how it’s focused around boss fights. You can’t really escape this fact and even though the game has lots of other aspects is this the main focus of as well as how you compete in speedrunning and other similar things is that is of interest. This is a good thing in my opinion as I found the boss fights to be very well made, having a good amount of challenge to them and just be generally interesting and unique. It’s not the longest game in the world but it isn’t that expensive either as it often is on sale as well. Go for it when on sale and if you must just buy it otherwise it’s quite a catch.
