If you’ve heard about overcooked then you’ve also probably heard about how great it is and how much fun you can squeeze out of it. If not then let me enlighten you a bit.
Overcooked is an awesome co-op game where you and your friend’s acts like a chefs as the orders rolls in. You then have to get the right ingredients, prepare them and lastly combine them into the final dish. This might not sound like much when put to words, but trust when I say it’s one of the most hectic and best co-op games you can get out there if you want to get the blood pumping. Working in a restaurant can be very hectic and this game does an amazing job showing how fast everything can turn into a hurricane. It’s not like the game is going to screw you over unfairly and nothing is left up to chance as everything essentially is up to the players. It’s just a great game that shows how everything can start out nice and slow, but that before you know is turned into a mayhem of everyone screaming at each other and just trying to get everything done as fast as possible. One of my friends said that he could feel his inner Gordon Ramsay begin to channel despite being able to keep his inner demon under control for the best of everyone else.
It’s honestly not that chaotic if you just take things slow and take your time but the game is based around a timer and the faster you are the more points you get so of course it’s going to become competitive fast. There is a bunch of levels and I’m a big fan of the level designs overall and the amount of progression you get. It’s a fun game and I can’t really say much other than grasp a few friends and go ham in your very own cooking adventure. I could continue talking about the small details like music and all the other things but the game is just like it should be in terms of all the many aspects there is to a game. So just look at it in terms of if you are interested in the experience as I can guarantee all the other aspects are going to follow suit.
