Savant – Ascent

So if you don’t really know what this game is about then don’t worry I don’t either, but I can see that some evil robots are trying to kill me, so I better use my cool powers of music and madness to beat em up. It’s a really fun and cool little arcade shooter and I really like the mechanics, artstyle aswell as gameplay. I’ve been a fan of the musician savant for a long time (which gave a little hype for the game I guess) and I think that his music is very hit or miss in the sense that you might like some of it, all of it or none of it, if that makes sense…

Besides his music being hit or miss were I finding myself enjoying the soundtrack in my playthrough even though I found some of the songs worse than others. But going away from the music and over to the game, It’s really fun. It’s not that long and There’s not a lot of depth to the game but the game you play is well polished and fun. The story is quick to complete so you’re going to spend most of your time in time attack or endless trying to gain the last of your ultimate powers. It’s very simple and that’s probably the reason behind the low price but even though it’s a small game is it in my personal opinion worth the experience and small price that goes with it.
